2014 Summer Garden Tours

Wed., July 16, in Old Town West Ft. Collins

The Water Thrifty Xeric Garden

Learn how to conserve water while having a beautiful, functional landscape year round.  This tour of Wild Iris Living's private landscape covers the 7 Xeriscape principles and features art and ecology, plus a diversity of hardy, easy to grow plants. 

The morning tour is from 10:15-11:15 am; the afternoon tour is from 4:30-6:00 pm.

The Highly Productive Edible Landscape and Garden

Discover how to integrate edibles into your landscape, extend your gardening season and increase productivity, all in a water conserving, aesthetically pleasing manner.  This fun, information packed tour of Wild Iris' private landscape features raised beds, fruiting trees, shrubs, vines and berries.  Plant varieties, composting, pollinators and more will be covered.

The morning tour is from 8:30-10:30 am; the evening tour is from 6:30-8:00 pm.

Participants may sign up for one or both the Xeric and the Edible Landscape Tour. 

Cost: $10 per person per session and advance registration is required by noon, Monday, July 14th.  Each session is limited to 12 attendees.
